Curve magazine – our latest website
Curve is one of the world’s best product and industrial design magazines. Published four times a year, Curve has a worldwide reputation in its field, thanks to quality editorial content and lavish production values.
Curve wanted a website that would be a worthy companion to the magazine. There were two main priorities for the site:
- To cement Curve as an authoritative voice in product and industrial design.
- To give something of value to Curve subscribers.
To help with the first of these, we’ve included a blog as a prominent feature of the website. The blog allows Curve to supplement their quarterly magazine with regular, up-to-the-minute news and views.
As for giving value to subscribers, we’ve worked with Curve to create something really special. The website now features a complete archive of the magazine, accessible only to subscribers. This means Curve subscribers will be able to instantly access every article from the magazine’s history (34 issues and counting), in a user-friendly HTML format.
Moving all this content online was a big job. It would have been much easier and cheaper to just upload PDF scans of each issue. However, these would have been difficult to read and impossible to search. We think the extra value that an HTML archive offers to subscribers is well worth the blood, sweat and tears it’s taken to build it.
